Valentines — Out-of-the-Box or Traditional

This gallery contains 1 photos.

Each year I hesitate before reaching for those store-bought valentines that come in a box for the school children and include an extra big card for the teacher. I hate forking out money for something that is going to go … Continue reading

Visualize. Organize.

I cross stitched my New Year's resolution and made a magnet to hang on my refrigerator.

If I want to adopt a resolution for 2012, the goal comes down to two words – visualize and organize.

“Visualize” opens all kinds of creative doors for crafters. We each see the world through our own eyes, so each item we make reflects what we see. We can all follow the same scarf pattern. But if we compare the finished products, they will each end up featuring different sizes, different colors and different flaws.

What I like about crafting is that each time I work on a project, ideas for the next project start flowing through my thoughts and fingertips. I don’t want to lose my passion for the next idea, which is why I am usually working on several projects at once.

This is where the “organize” resolution steps into my craft area. I have all kinds of tools – paper, scissors, fabric, beads; needles, yarn, pencils, patterns. They each need a place, so I can find them when I need them. Otherwise, my projects come to a standstill while I search through drawers and closets. Or even worse, I end up spending money on supplies I already own.

For 2012, I want to visualize and organize. The possibilities are vast.

Back to School — College Coasters

Coasters are great gifts for college freshmen.

Many people are stumped when looking for a clever gift idea for returning college students. ChatterboxBeach has a solution – fabric coasters. We add fabric coasters to a college freshman care packages. They are attractive and useful for young students who need a place to set their glass while they study diligently for hours.

Students studying need a place to set down their glass.

They look nice on a coffee or end table. And we make a set with football fabric, making them a great gift for young men and tailgating, too.

A mini-notebook could brighten a student's day.

ChatterboxBeach offers a variety of back-to-school items. One of the most colorful is our Flower Button Mini-Notebook. This adorable orange and pink notebook cover is adorned with a bright flower button and covers a 4.5- by 3.25-inch mini-composition book. The notebook fits nicely in a pocketbook or on a desk. It’s perfect for jotting down notes and reminders. Include it in a college freshman care package or slip it in your daughter’s backpack with a note of encouragement on the first page as she starts a new school year.

First Anniversary Scrapbook

Fill a floral accordion book with newlywed memories.

ChatterboxBeach is celebrating our 1st Anniversary throughout August by highlighting some of our top-selling items and the paper gifts we offer. After all, etiquette says paper is the way to observe a first anniversary!

Fill a beautiful handmade accordion book with memories of your first year together. ChatterboxBeach offers an accordion book covered with pink flowers on one side and a gray background on the other. Both patterns provide a great backdrop for photos, poetry or scrapbooking.

Book comes tied with a special ribbon.

Each of the eight pages measure about 5 inches by 5 inches. Fill the pages on both sides with momentoes from a special occasion or pictures of someone special. The book is tied with a special ribbon.

As a bridesmaid or a friend, I always like to send a little paper something to a bride on her first anniversary. A blank or filled accordion book says “I’m thinking of you” on your first anniversary!

I also like to include accordion books in care packages for college freshmen or give them to friends on their birthday or when they have something unexpected to celebrate.

ChatterboxBeach wants to thank our customers for a great first year. We look forward to highlighting our paper gift products throughout the month.

The cards are blank inside, allowing you to add your own special message. They come with an envelope and are packaged in resealable plastic bags. The cards, which measure 5- by 7-inches, also look nice on display.

Back to School — Nautical Ruler

The message on this ruler is "Measure It."

ChatterboxBeach offers a variety of back-to-school items. One of our favorite, is an acrylic ruler that has the message “Measure It” written in nautical flags. The ruler is a great addition to any desk and makes a great gift for a favorite teacher or student. It would be a welcome addition to a college freshman care package.
