ChatterboxBeach has found a home not only on Etsy, but also in an adorable shop called The Orange Blossom Resale in Hampstead, NC. Our handmade crafts fit right at home among the many vendor booths that feature an eclectic array of home décor, jewelry and fashion items. Located in a strip mall on Highway 17, the store is a convenient drive from Jacksonville, Wilmington and the Crystal Coast and Southern beaches. We love to browse each time we add more items to our booth.
The chef hats, scarves, pillows and dishcloths that we sell on Etsy also are featured in the store. Additional items are also available at The Orange Blossom, include paintings, aprons, pocket books, cup cozies, knitted necklaces, wine bags and mini quilts. ChatterboxBeach hopes to add new products each week.

First Anniversary Scrapbook

Fill a floral accordion book with newlywed memories.

ChatterboxBeach is celebrating our 1st Anniversary throughout August by highlighting some of our top-selling items and the paper gifts we offer. After all, etiquette says paper is the way to observe a first anniversary!

Fill a beautiful handmade accordion book with memories of your first year together. ChatterboxBeach offers an accordion book covered with pink flowers on one side and a gray background on the other. Both patterns provide a great backdrop for photos, poetry or scrapbooking.

Book comes tied with a special ribbon.

Each of the eight pages measure about 5 inches by 5 inches. Fill the pages on both sides with momentoes from a special occasion or pictures of someone special. The book is tied with a special ribbon.

As a bridesmaid or a friend, I always like to send a little paper something to a bride on her first anniversary. A blank or filled accordion book says “I’m thinking of you” on your first anniversary!

I also like to include accordion books in care packages for college freshmen or give them to friends on their birthday or when they have something unexpected to celebrate.

ChatterboxBeach wants to thank our customers for a great first year. We look forward to highlighting our paper gift products throughout the month.

First Anniversary — Notecards Feature Original Paintings

Notecard a gift of flowers.

ChatterboxBeach is celebrating our 1st Anniversary throughout August by highlighting some of our top-selling items and the paper gifts we offer. After all, etiquette says paper is the way to observe a first anniversary!

An assortment of notecards is a thoughtful way to mark a first anniversary. ChatterboxBeach offers a variety of notecards featuring pictures of original watercolor paintings by North Carolina artist Anne Waller. The cards are blank inside, allowing you to add your own special message. They come with an envelope and are packaged in resealable plastic bags. The cards, which measure 5- by 7-inches, also look nice on display.

Another Top Seller: Bulletin Boards

ChatterboxBeach is celebrating our 1st Anniversary throughout August by highlighting some of our top-selling items and the paper gifts we offer. After all, etiquette says paper is the way to observe a first anniversary!

Hand-painted bulletin boards have been top-sellers this year. Currently, we have two in stock — a pomegranate and a tangerine. They are the perfect place to post reminders, grocery lists, recipes and notes of all kinds. The boards measure 11 inches by 14 inches. They install easily with self-stick pads, which are included.

To celebrate a first anniversary, pin a special paper wish or message on the board! What a lovely and thoughtful gift to give or receive!

Wearing a Summer Sunset

SisterM has been busy making hand-knit cotton necklaces in various pleasing colors. One of my favorites is what she calls “Summer Sunset,” featuring shades of pink, purple, blue, teal, orange and green. The lightweight jewelry is a perfect accessory for day or night and is embellished with a blend of similarly colored glass beads. The necklace is perfect for an evening out, yet casual enough for everyday, and is a great gift for women or teens. The necklace includes a lobster claw clasp and has a length of about 21 inches. SisterM likes the contrast of the glass beads sparkling against the softness of the hand-knit cotton necklace.

Treasured Notes of Art

Flowers in a Vase

At this time of year, I find myself signing lots of cards congratulating friends and family on their achievements. Some notes are for formal occasions such as graduations and first communions. Others are for achievements at school such as band concerts or drama performances. Recognition also goes out for birthdays and anniversaries.

Once in a while, my signature on a store-bought card is not enough. I want to write a letter marking the special occasion, hoping to say something that my loved one will treasure and keep.

Sunflowers

For these events, I buy cards from local artists. I find them at craft shows, in gift shops and on etsy.com. I write a rough draft of my letter in a spiral notebook and then copy the words onto the card. In doing this, I give not only my heartfelt congratulations but also a work of art they can frame and treasure.
